A Monster in Paris – Movie Review

On April 16th Shout! Factory, in collaboration with EuropaCorp, will released A Monster in Paris!  This internationally acclaimed film was written and directed by Bibo Bergeron (Shark Tale) and features in all-star cast including Vanessa Paradis, singer/song writer Sean LennonCatherine O’Hara (Penelope), Adam Goldberg (A Beautiful Mind), Bob Balaban (For Your Consideration), Danny Huston (Hitchcock) and Jay Harrington (Private Practice).  An eccentric inventor, his best friend and a monkey accidentally create a ‘monster’ after having free reign in a mad scientist’s laboratory and spilling potions.

I was not sure how I would feel about this movie.  I just did not know what to expect... but once I got into it, I was hooked.  It was a truly amazing film!  It had an amazing storyline about friendship and sticking together.  It also taught children not to judge people/insects by the way they look.  The songs, animation, overall film was amazing.  I am going to have to pick up the sound track now!   This is the perfect movie for family night!
