Christmas in July with Storkie.com

I know, I know... Christmas is still months away.   It is never too early to start thinking about the holidays in my book! Let alone thinking about Christmas cards.  Summer is the perfect time to get some great photos for  photo cards!!! I love to receive photo cards during the holidays!  Heck I even love to send them!   I think it is a great way to share with loved ones that don't get to see us that often!   The kids love hanging the photo cards we receive on the refrigerator. I  also love the  unique Christmas cards that are personalized, we have got some funny cards over the years.  It is a nice break from the trees and bulbs!.

Not sure what to do with a the left over cards after the holidays?  My in-laws cut apart all the photo cards and have a display board that they put all the pictures on until they get a new one.  It is nice to see all the family  and friends on display! How about some craft ideas you can use to upcycle those old Christmas cards from years past.   I have a box that is made out of old Christmas cards!  It is cards on the front and back and the person used a hole punch and red yarn to put it together.  It is so unique!   I also re-use the front of cards for art projects with the kids, gift tag labels, etc.    Cute out a tree/angel/santa/star, hole punch and add some yarn and make an instant ornament for a frugal tree decoration.  Along the same lines, string a number of cut out holiday images and make your self a festive garland to hang on the mantle!  If you are a scrapbooker you can use the images off the front of the cards to add to your holiday scrapbook pages.  You could even use the cards from the people on their specific pages!

Are you in Christmas spirit yet?  I know I am!  I think I will have to dig out our old card and do some craft projects with the kids this weekend! If you haven’t purchased your cards yet, Storkie has some amazing cards.  Not ready to purchase Christmas cards yet, Storkie has something for every occasion!   So head on over to Storkie and get in the Chrismas spirit!
