If you’re looking for a family-friendly DIY project for Easter, then why not decorate some plates for Easter using Sharpie markers!
Supplies
- White dinnerware (I picked up smaller white plates at the Dollar Store)
- Sharpie markers
- Oven
Instructions:
I removed any stickers/price tags and then washed and dried each piece. You can use adhesive stencils to help create you design or free hand it. I actually tried to draw on my plate with a pencile, but found it quiet hard since there was a sheen to the plate.
For my nerdy bunny, I googled images of bunnies with glasses. I started first with the glasses as I had never used a metallic Sharpie and I wanted to see out it looked before I tackled the bunny. Of course it looked amazing and I knew I could continue on to the bunny.
I did the outline of the bunny first in a dotted line fashion and then started to fill in the bunny with dotted lines and drew the eyes, mouth and nose. I then drew on the bow in a color of my choosing.
Once you know that your designs are completely dry. Mine actually dried instantly, place them in the oven at 350 degrees for at least 30 minutes. I would suggest not using them for 24 hours and hand wash only!
