Starring legendary actresses Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen, BOOK CLUB follows four lifelong friends whose lives are turned upside down to hilarious ends when their book club attempts to shake things up by tackling the infamous "Fifty Shades of Grey." From discovering new romance to rekindling old flames, they inspire each other to make their next chapter the best chapter. The film also stars Andy Garcia, Don Johnson, Craig T. Nelson, Richard Dreyfuss and Ed Begley Jr.
I have never read any of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" books or seen the movies, just not something I want to read or see. That being so, I was not sure how over the top and raunchy this movie might be since it mentions that infamous book. The movie is PG-13, so it does have some sex scenes and discussion of sex, but it is not blush worthy. You can rest assured that it does not get into the Fifty Shades details, it is about so much more. It follows along four friends as they tackle life, finding themselves, getting back out in the dating pool, and more. I laughed and laughed while watching this movie, it is a super fun movie and perfect for girls' night!
The Blu-ray Combo Pack is loaded with uproarious bonus content including deleted and extended scenes, interviews with filmmakers and the iconic cast, explorations of the writing and casting process and behind-the-scenes footage from the set.
