My husband and son saw this at the theater, but watching the Blu-ray was my first time. I would suggest watching The Force Awakens again to get prepped for this movie! In this installment of the Star Wars franchise, Rey is on a mission to get Luke to join the resistance but the old master is reluctant to get back into the fight. While Rey is with Luke, the others are plotting to infiltrate the First Order.
We are introduced to some new characters in this film, the adorable Porgs, Rose, Holdo, DJ and more. My husband actually compared CJ to Lando Calrissian and said we will probably see him in future films. Holdo was an amazing character who gave the ultimate sacrifice. We also see our favorites; Rey, Finn and Poe all develop more as characters in this film. While beloved classics, Chewie, Luke, Leia and Yoda make appearances. At one point in the film, Luke was speaking to Leia (about Kylo Ren) and he said no one is truly gone forever. It was pretty poetic as the actress who played Leia has since passed. The conflict between light and dark continues to battle in this film. You will have to watch it to see if light continues to win the battle!

together to make some music, and some questionable decisions, one last
time.
I have loved the Pitch Perfect franchise since the first movie came out. I admit it, saw both #1 and #2 twice at the theater. Now that my daughter is a tween, she is so into these movies as well. So of course, we saw #3 in the theaters and then had girls' night again this week to watch it again. There is something about these movies that bring a smile to your face.
This final installment is a good way to end the franchise. It’s a feel good movie that shows that these girls aren't just friends, but family too. Pitch Perfect 3 brings back some amazing songs, some new musical groups and a great story-line. I was not sure from seeing the previews how they would incorporated those action scenes, but it totally worked. It was well incorporated and I loved the song that was paired with it. You will laugh, you will cry and you will want to re-watch this movie over and over. Pick it up today and have a girls' weekend!
