My tween has been wanting to see this movie since it was at theaters.. my husband and son, not so much.  Last weekend we sat down and had movie night as a family and even my reluctant and husband enjoyed this movie! Gardner Elliot was born  while his mother an astronaut was traveling to Mars. His mother dies during childbirth and he is raised on the Mars., all while being kept secret to those back on Earth that are not part of the mission.   At sixteen, all Gardner wants to experience is a normal Earth life, find his father and have the chance to meet his online friend Tulsa.

Tulsa looking for adventure and Gardner wanting to meet his father, embark on interesting trip  around  the southwestern United States.   While on their adventure, sparks fly and they develop feelings for each other.   While there was a "sex scene". it did not show any acts, just them in a sleeping bag together.  I just wanted to warn others if they were watching with their children.  It is a sweet entertaining story that would be perfect to watch this Mother's Day on digital HD or pick it up on the 16th for movie night!
