When a twelve-year-old girl befriends a quirky teenage mermaid who’s anything but mythical, their friendship could heal an age-old feud between humans and sea people. Jerry O’Connell (Jerry Maguire) and Barry Bostwick (TV’S “Spin City”) bring to life this family-friendly saga of a young girl’s playful friendship with a teenage mermaid.

A cute story about family relationships, friendship and adventure! The wondrous ocean has many secrets and things to learn about. This fantasy story tells of a young girl, Ryan, and her father Matt, as they return to the little fishing town off the coast to help Matt’s dad. Moving is always a big adventure for anyone, and for Ryan, she now has to get to know her grandfather who she has not seen for many years.
Matt left the area years ago to get away from his father’s illusions of mermaids. Ryan, on the other hand, is fascinated about them. When Ryan saves a mermaid from a net, Coral the mermaid soon reveals herself to Ryan and they become fast friends. Each wanting to learn about the other’s world, they discover it is not an easy process as they have to keep the secret that mermaids are real.

Little do the girls know the underlying secret between each of their families. This is a story about the ocean as a teacher about love, forgiveness and secrets always finding a way of coming to the surface. With all its charm and beautiful ocean scenery to watch, we are pleased to award this film our Dove Seal
