This weekend we decided to have a family movie night and watch "A Dog's Purpose", it was such a great film! Afterwards I wanted to pamper my own pooches, so I made them homemade dog biscuits!
These are so frugal, easy to make and only four ingredients!
- 1 egg
- 2/3 cup pure canned pumpkin
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1 ½ cups all purpose flour (you can use whole wheat flour as well, but some dogs have wheat allergies)
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine the egg, pumpkin and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Slowly add the flour until the dough is stiff. You might need to use your hands
- Wet counter top and cover it with wax paper (makes for easy clean-up) and cover wax paper with flour or just place flour on your counter top.
- Roll the dough with a rolling pin until it is about ¼ thick.
- Use dog bone cookie cutter to cut out the treats.
- Place cookies on the parchment paper lined cookie sheet and bake cookies for 40 minutes until crunchy and hard.
