In the new series high school is over and Shaggy, Velma, Daphne, and Fred have just completed their senior year. What better way to celebrate summer break than by going on a road trip? This could be the gang’s last summer together, so the teens decide to live it up by hitting the road in the Mystery Machine in search of fun, laughs and great adventures. Along the way, the teen sleuths encounter some of the most mind-blowing mysteries yet. Will Scooby-Doo and the gang complete their trip or will ghosts and monsters throw them off course?

Some may not dig the new look of the series since it brings a new animation style to the table, but it does breath some new life into the long running series. Despite the artistic look, the film sticks pretty close to the usual roots with only a few changes. One of the really funny moments in every episode toys with the classic catch phrase of the captured killer as they speak about getting away with it. This changes up in just about every episode in some funny ways while keeping the original bit in place. This is far from a perfect series and the hardcore fans may not enjoy the new look and feel of it all, but for all the others interested or fair weather fans may dig the new direction this series takes without losing the essence of the classic series.

The visible difference is the character design and animation.   If you grew up with the seventies TV series, it will be a change for you!  These new character designs are more flowing and appeal to the new Scooby Fans.   My son loves all things Scooby Doo and really didn't say much about the style change.   He was excited to watch all the episodes and see what his favorite characters are up to now that school is over.   We are paving about selves and this DVD has over four hours of Scooby Doo.  If he got his way, we would be binge watching all in one day!
