Monster Jam to Host Blanket Drive for Local Vets

Cleveland Fans Invited to Donate NEW Blankets for Veterans
and Receive Voucher to Monster Jam February 13th-14th Performances

Monster Jam is revving up for a weekend of intense demolition and high-flying fun February 13th –14th at Quicken Loans Arena, but before drivers start their engines, they want to give back to the community and are asking Cleveland fans to help by donating a new, unused blanket to a veteran in need!

Quicken Loans Arena and Monster Jam are teaming up to host a blanket drive from Monday, January 25th through Thursday, February 11th at Quicken Loans Arena, with all items benefiting the Volunteers of America of Greater Ohio Veterans Domiciliary at Wade Park.

The first 200 fans to donate a new blanket will receive a voucher valid for one (1) ticket to any 2016 Monster Jam evening performance. After the 200 limit has been met, families who donate will receive a discount voucher, also valid for any performance.

At the end of the week, Tony Ochs, a Monster Jam driver and 10-year veteran in the United States Army, will make a special delivery to the residents of Volunteers of America of Greater Ohio Veterans Domiciliary at Wade Park.


How To Donate:

·        New blankets can be donated at collection bins located inside the Quicken Loans Arena’s Arcade Entrance (located next to the Cavaliers Team Shop.) Items will be collected from Monday, January 25th through Thursday, February 11th between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Donors will receive one (1) voucher per blanket, which can then be used at the Quicken Loans Arena box office.

·        Cleveland Cavaliers and Lake Erie Monsters fans coming to the following matchups can donate their blankets at a collection bin located inside the Arcade Entrance, next to the arena box office:

o   January 25th at 7:00 p.m.         Cavs vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
o   January 27th at 7:00 p.m.         Cavs vs. Phoenix Suns
o   January 29th at 7:00 p.m.         Monsters vs. Texas Stars
o   January 30th at 1:30 p.m.         Monsters vs. Texas Stars
o   January 30th at 8:30 p.m.         Cavs vs. San Antonio Spurs
o   February 5th at 7:30 p.m.          Cavs vs. Boston Celtics
o   February 6th at 7:30 p.m.          Cavs vs. New Orleans Pelicans
o   February 8th at 7:00 p.m.          Cavs vs. Sacramento Kings
o   February 9th at 7:00 p.m.          Monsters vs. Chicago Wolves
o   February 10th at 8:00 p.m.        Cavs vs. Los Angeles Lakers
o   February 11th at 7:00 p.m.        Monsters vs. Chicago Wolves


Monster Jam roars into The Q for four performances on Saturday, February 13th at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, February 14th at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Tickets are affordably priced for the whole family, with prices starting at $20 for adults and $12 for children age 12 and under – even in the Gold Circle price level! Tickets are available at the Q Arena box office, online at theQarena.com and at all Northeast Ohio Discount Drug Mart stores.


ABOUT THE VETERANS DOMICILIARY
The Veterans Domiciliary, located on the Wade Park Veterans Affairs Medical Center campus, is a state of the art residential care facility that combines rehabilitative clinical services with supportive case management services for homeless veterans. Based on the therapeutic community model, Volunteers of America of Greater Ohio, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), provides a range of rehabilitative care and support to foster veterans’ functional independence and develop a mutual support network with fellow veterans.
