The Fault in Our Stars hit digital HD yesterday and I am a little excited to say the least! I am a total book nerd, so of course I read this book. My friend and I read it at the same time, so we could chat about it while reading. When she found out that the digital version was out this week, my phone buzzed with a message asking when this weekend were we going to watch it! So plans have been made, while the men folk watch football this weekend, we will be watching the digital version via iTunes on my laptop! I foresee a lot of tears to be shed. I actually texted my friend to be prepared to see me ugly cry, I know we will get choked up if it is anything like the book!
A little about the movie:
Hazel (Shailene Woodley) and Gus (Ansel Elgort) share a sarcastic wit, a
disdain for the ordinary, and a love that sweeps them on an
unforgettable journey. Although the teens face challenges, they learn
that while life isn’t perfect, love is extraordinary. Laura Dern and Sam
Trammell also star in this powerful film based on John Green’s New York
Times bestseller.
So if you don't have any plans this Labor Day weekend or looking for some girl time this weekend, I would suggest experiencing The Fault in Our Stars! A great book turned into a movie is always a safe bet and good time. A great way to stay connected with the characters we fell in love with on paper, now to only fall in love again on the big screen!
