 I had fun mixing items from SONOMA Outdoors section of Kohls with other items I found in store.  First I started with the front porch.  It needed some serious work.    We had just a bench, table and hickory rocker on the porch.   Spruced it up by adding some new cushions to the bench, a new welcome mat and some decor to the table.  Don't feel you only need to shop the outdoor section to add pizzazz to your porch, deck or patio.  I picked up a large circle Bobby Flay red ceramic serving tray (clearance) in the kitchen area, paired it with a with a SONOMA outdoors™ 8-in. Leaves Cut-Out Solar Light and a few rocks.  Made a beautiful centerpiece for under $40!

Next we headed to our back deck, which I am in love with.  Before the kids were born, my husband built they deck  to my liking and then a few years later added the pergola.  We have been slowly trying to convert it to our little outdoor oasis, but it takes time.  We planted flowers, shrubs and trees around it and now this year was focusing on making it our place to go and relax, entertain or just sit and watch the kids play.  

We headed to  Kohl's to help with this transformation.   We picked up an smalled solar powered SONOMA lantern  in red, a new rug, wind chime , red SONOMA place-mat and SONOMA outdoors™ 8-pc. The SONOMA outdoors wine and plate set is perfect, the small plates can be used for the kids or to serve snacks, cheese and other goodies on.  I love the that the wine glasses are made from durable acrylic.  They are made for long-lasting use and no worries about breaking a wine glass while you are enjoying your evening.

The Mohawk® Home Big Blooming Bright Coir Doormat is fun and vibrant and helps to tie in the bright colors on the deck.  The texture is very rough, so the dirt  and grass on my kids and husband's shoes will be left outside and not tracked into the house!  Remember how I mentioned thinking outside the box?  I took the SONOMA circle multi-red colored place-mat and put it in the center of my table to use under my lantern.  It looks amazing and also helps to tie the color theme in perfectly.  It is even dog approved, my old girl Maggie loves laying on it while I am reading on the deck!  I also love the sound of wind chimes, so we had to pick up a nice metal blue one.  The sound is amazing and I love that I can hear it on the deck or while I am in the house washing the dishes since it is handing near the kitchen window.
