Cedar Point - The roller coaster capital of the world! #BloggingatCP #Ohio

Cedar Point is the roller coaster capital of the world. Cedar Point is an amusement park that brings people together through thrills, laughter, screams and fun. Experience 120-mph roller coasters that have 80-degree drops, thrill rides, rides for the entire family and water rides that keep you cool in the heat.

Long before coasters, dinosaurs ruled Cedar Point...and now they're back! Dinosaurs Alive features over 40 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs, which are scientifically accurate based on the latest paleontological knowledge.   Kids will love exploring and seeing life sized movable dinosaurs.  There are even interactive consoles allow you to guide dinosaur movements so you can see how scientists believe each dinosaur moved its arms, tail, mouth and eyes.  We had to push every button at each of these consoles!  Make sure to read each of the signs and learn all about the dinosaurs!

Make sure to keep an eye out for the the beloved pooch Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts!  There is a liv show featuring the characters that you will want to check out with the kids, the show was in the Camp Snoopy area. There are four children’s areas for those who are just not quiet tall enough for the big coasters! Each of them is packed with the rides kids love: junior-sized bumper cars, Helicopters – even a Tilt-a-Whirl and a Roto Whip – along with two mini coasters that are just the right size for your future thrillseekers.

Coaster fans will be pleased at how many coasters, Cedar Point has to offer!  They have aggressive and high thrill coasters!
  • Blue Streak
  • Cedar Creek Mine Ride
  • Corkscrew
  • GateKeeper
  • Gemini
  • Iron Dragon
  • Magnum XL-200
  • Mantis
  • Maverick
  • Mean Streak
  • Millennium Force
  • Top Thrill Dragster
  • Raptor
Our son is 46 inches, so he was not able to ride any coaster but two kiddie ones.  Our daughter on the other hand is tall and loves coasters, so of course the first and last ride of the park experience was the GateKeeper.  My husband and daughter sat in the front seats each time, you could hear Paige screaming the entire time, but the smile on her face afterwards was priceless!

Not only are there all the coasters, but other fun thrill rides like Monster, Witches Wheel, Power Tower, Windseeker, etc.

I had not been back to Cedar Point since I was a child, so this was like my first time too!  My husband goes every Halloween with the guys.  It was so much fun to experience the park with the kids and see their reactions.  They honestly had a blast and asked us how soon they could go back.  It was a wonderful day that was filled with fun and family time.

If you are looking for a fun filled day with your family, then look no further than Cedar Point.  They have something for everyone!  Even if you are not a coaster fan, ride the kiddie rides with the kids, catch a good show, eat a funnel cake or two and ride the carousel before you leave.  Memories will be made whether you ride one ride or ride them all over and over again.  So make a trip to Sandusky, Ohio and see what Cedar Point  has to offer!  Make it a mini vacation and spend the night at a Cedar Point hotel and score an hour early entry into the park!
