Exergen TemporalScanner with Smart Glow features video #review #sponsored

Have you heard about the Exergen TemporalScanner?  The ExergenTemporalScanner is an infrared thermometer that captures temperature by scanning the heat that comes off the forehead (via the temporal artery), it is non-invasive, easy-to-use (only takes 2 seconds) and extremely accurate. This high-tech thermometer is a great tool that will help parents avoid the painful experience of taking their sick toddler’s temperature rectally and uncomfortably.

Exergen has just released their new Smart Glow TemporalScanner Thermometer, an updated version of their original TemporalScanner. The new model has a backlit screen, perfect for taking the temperature of a sleeping child without waking them up by turning on a light. Other new features include a silent mode option and memory storage to keep track of past temperature readings.

Since I already had the original Exergen TemporalScanner, I was excited to see the updated version!
The Smart Glow TemporalScanner works the same except it has four new feature:  Soft Glow Display, 8 Temperature Memory, Silent Mode, °F/°C conversion.  The thermometer is still easy to use.  Just hold  down the button after placing it in the middle of your child’s forehead. While holding the button and lightly scan across your child's forehead til you reach their temple, then release the button. The temperature shows up nice and clear with the soft glow display.

Not only does it offer Soft Glow display which is perfect for checking the temperature late at night, but it lets you store up to 8 readings.  You can then track the progression of your child's fever!  I love it, if you are like me checking on your child every couple hours at night when sick, your tired head can forget the last reading.  With the instant temperature recall, there is no more guessing what the last temp was!   You can switch from °F to°C as well as turn off the beeper.  When you turn off the beeper, it also turns off the flashing LED facing the forehead while scanning.

This is a truly amazing thermometer and well worth the money.  It is always my go to baby shower gift!

You can purchase one at a variety of stores including Walgreens, Toys R Us , Babies R Us and Walmart.

Check out my video review:

With two dozen studies attesting to its accuracy and reliability, almost 50% of hospitals and 1/3 of pediatricians are using the Exergen TemporalScanner. Fusing accurate medical technology with a mother’s gentle touch, the TemporalScanner will avoid messy episodes having to hold a fussy and sick child down long enough to get an accurate thermometer reading.  It merely takes two seconds and a gentle swipe, so parents can even check a sleeping child’s temperature.

The Exergen TemporalScanner also never needs any additional purchases. It has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of less than $50. For additional information, visit www.temporalscanner.com

  1. We had the under the arm one or under the tongue as kids. Heck I remember trying to put it on the light bulb to get it to raise, so I could stay home. This is a sure fire way for accuracy and no little hooligans trying to get out of school!

  9. This thing looks amazing! If I'm honest I usually just go by touch and then give Tylenol, it'd be nice if I were more accurate, lol
