Did you know that more than 51 million U.S. school hours are lost each year because of dental related illness? To help children stay healthy and avoid missing school days, Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures®, in partnership with Teach for America, are kicking off the Smile for Picture Day™ campaign that will leverage school picture day as an opportunity to promote healthy habits among children in need.
Through Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures®, children in need receive free dental screenings and education to help build healthy habits, self-esteem and a foundation for success.
As you are getting back into the school routine with your children, now is the time to talk with your kids about the importance of a healthy smile. You can visit www.ColgateBSBF.com and click on the “Program Materials” link to download Colgate’s free oral health education materials which include parent tip sheets, video demonstrations for proper brushing and fun coloring sheets.
Encouraging your children to take responsibility for their own oral care and instilling healthy habits not only helps prevent cavities, but also boosts your child's self esteem.
Growing up dental care was not important in my house. We grew up without much money and a trip to the dentist did not happen till I was in college and paying for my own bills. So once I had children, I wanted to make sure they knew how important dental care is and we started young. Colgate makes brushing teeth fun for kids, I wish I had all these options as a kid! They not only have a bunch of fun character brushes, but the toothpaste is Bubble Fruit!
Two lucky readers (US only) will each win a “Smile for Picture Day” giveaway package that includes a tube of Colgate Kids Cavity Protection Toothpaste and a Colgate Fresh n Protect Toothbrush. Please wait for the Rafflecopter form to load:
