I was recently send a review package that included supplies to have an 80’s party with my family and introduce the kids to Donkey Kong, the peace-loving ape with a heart of gold who made his debut on the pop culture scene in 1981.  My daughter and son really got into their parts playing kids from the 80's as you can see from the picture above.

When King K. Rool's last attack fails, he comes up with a new strategy to steal the Crystal Coconut by cloning Candy Kong with an evil robot. While trimming Donkey Kong's hair, Candy Clone puts a hex on him that removes all of his strength, which now leaves the Crystal Coconut without a protector. With time running out, Cranky must come up with an antidote to get it to Donkey Kong before King K. Rool and his army succeeds in their next attack!

I grew up playing Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr.  I loved those games on the Atari  or hitting them at the arcade!  I miss those days!  It was great to introduce the kids to game icons I loved from my youth!  i am utterly amazed at the graphics.  CGI totally amazes me!  As a parent, I also appreciate the storyline and the morals it teaches!  My kids adored this film and now want to see the old games that mom and dad talk about.
