Launching this month to promote the value of education, Gradify
is an online tool that allows you to create a fund for your child or
loved one and invite friends and family to contribute towards savings
for their education.
With the cost of education continuing to rise, college tuition for a child born today could reach more than $100,000 by the time they start school. Gradify
can quickly and easily help you set up an online profile to share their
story and educational goals and invite guests to contribute towards
their education during life celebrations, including baby showers,
birthdays, religious events, holidays and/or graduations. Each event
also allows guests to write personalized messages for the child that
will be available to look back on for years to come.
There
is no cost to open or maintain an account on Gradify. In terms of
donations, Gradify accepts major credit cards and PayPal.
I just checked them out and it is not really a college saving registry because the money from the gifts go to a PayPal account,so the funds raised actually can be used for anything. I would recommend GradSave as they only link to college savings plans, so donors can be assured their gifts will be used solely for college.
