This fun-filled event offers little engineers and their families the opportunity to take a ride with a 15-ton replica of Thomas the Tank Engine, star of the popular Thomas & Friends™ series.  Children will take a ride along with their favorite engine friend on his latest adventure and participate in Thomas-themed activities.

We have rode Thomas the Train a couple time and each year the event gets bigger in my opinion!   When you pull into the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad you are greeted with  tents among tents of activities.  There were a three of blow-up activities for kids to climb on, a tent with tattoos, music/magicians , a tent with model trains on display, story time, photo opps, items for sale, etc.   When we first entered we were given a map and if we collected all our stamps the kids were awarded a prize (Thomas the Train Stickers ).  The ride consisted of a little more than 30 minutes, the "Conductors and Train Men/Women" walked the aisles talking to the children, giving them certificates, talking to the kids, letting them as questions, etc.  They helped  make the ride totally enjoyable!

It was a super hot day and we were prepared for the heat, but a nice feature this was the portable water tanks with water fountains on them!  We  were able to keep refilling our water bottles!  They even had a food tent set up for lunch, ice cream, snacks, you name it! It was an entire Thomas experience!

If Thomas is rolling into a town near you, then I highly suggest you checking it out!   It is a great experience!  Further information about each specific event is available from the host railroad.
