You can find recipes for Betty Crocker’s favorite summer cakes here!   I love baking and making memories while baking.  I grew up in the kitchen helping my Grandma and my Mom.  Now my kids are just as eager to learn and be in the kitchen.  Of course they love it when Mom bakes, as they get the yummy goodness!  This weekend we will be making Angel Food fruit kabobs!

In the meantime here is my spin on the Butterfly Cake... a Butterfly Cupcake cake!

It honestly looks a lot hard than it really is.  You just need to bake 24 cupcakes according to y
our favorite Betty Crocker cake mix.   Once cooled, I placed them on a covered piece of cardboard and followed the template I created below:

I mixed food coloring with some Betty Crocker white/vanilla/butter cream frosting.  You will probably need about 2 jars of frosting!   If you need to thicken frosting to help the consistency, just add some powdered sugar.  Spread frosting over the cupcakes and decorate as you desire!  I  placed frosting in a ziploc bag with various frosting tips to pipe and decorate mine.   Then your kids and guest can just pull apart and enjoy!
