Giveaway and Review Done by: Elitemama

LightAir develops products that combine efficiency, functionality, design and ease of use in order to provide you with healthier indoor air quality. The Lightair IonFlow 50 offers an outstanding combination of efficient, silent, filter-free, ozone free, easy to use, energy efficient and economical operation that is at home in any environment. It's a perfect balance between blending in and standing out. The clean lines, slim silhouette and transparency offers you a stylish alternative to the typical industrial looking air purifiers. Lightair IonFlow 50 will nicely be a part of your home, hotel, office, restaurant, shop, school, clinic and more.

The Lightair helps a growing number of people that are suffering from asthma  allergies, COPD and many other health problems such as fatigue, headache and concentration difficulties - which often stem from unhealthy indoor air quality.Small particles, below the size of 2.5 micron (PM2.5) and even below 1 micron, are inhaled deeply into our lungs, entering our blood stream bringing in other substances into our body. About 90% of the particles that are in the air are below 2.5 micron and they can become airborne for a very long time due to their size. These particles today are the causes of heart and vascular disease, different forms of cancer as well as a serious aggravating factor that causes allergy and asthma reactions. Lightair effectively removes these particles that are in the air and is it is efficient in removing the smallest particles that are considered to be the most hazardous to our health.

Elitemama's Review:

I have been looking for an air purifier that is efficient, uses less energy, easy to use and also stylish as well. I've seen many air purifiers and none of them seemed to, how do I put it, catch my interest. The models that you find in the store are bulky, require filters (filters are a hassle and cost you money), unattractive and they don't seem like they would do the job. I searched around on the web and I came across LightAir. I knew right away that their products have everything I was looking for. I received the Lightair IonFlow 50 Surface ($395.00) for review.

About the IonFlow 50 Surface: The IonFlow 50 Surface stylishly delivers cleaner and healthier air! It shares the same excellent performance and features as Style, Sky and Signature, efficiently eliminating the smallest and most powerful particles that cause the most sever health problems. Surface offers and unbeatable combination of efficient, silent, ozone free, energy saving and easy to use, economical operation.
Lightair revolutionizes the the portable air purification industry by featuring technological functionality and sustainable manufacturing together with stylish design. The IonFlow 50 Surface is a great example of how you can combine manufacturing and style. With it's transparent molded stand that is approx. 4 inches/ 10 cm shorter than the Style stands, it fits perfect on a table, on your work desk or even on the floor.

  • Negative ion effect: 250 000 negative ions/cm3 on 1 meter's distance
  • Decorative lights: Yes
  • Protective guard: Yes
  • Mounting: Floor/table

The IonFlow 50 Surface comes with:
  • 1 Ion generator (above= 3 corona needles, below= outlet and metal hook)
  • 1 collector
  • 1 acrylic stand
  • 1 switch
  • 1 transformer
  • 8 decorative lights (4 in the appliance and 4 extra)
  • 1 protective guard (32 slats and 2 assembly rings)
  • 1 corona needle brush
  • Users Manual
  • Product brochure

Assembling the protective guard for the IonFlow 50 Surface is very simple. This is the only piece for the product that has to be assemble by hand. Everything else is pretty much one, two, three and you are done. When assembling the protective guard, you have to be careful when assembling. You don't want to break any of the slots when you are putting the in the rings. I didn't have an issue when it came to getting the putting the protective guard together, but it helps to be cautions and always take your time. Once the slots have been added to the rings the protective guard is ready.

The picture above shows you the lights that are located in the generator. As you can see the generator uses 4 decorative lights. There was no need to add the lights in since the ones in the generator were already placed in there. If the lights burn out, they give you an extra set of lights.

And now for the full assembly! I can tell you that this is a simple assembly.
Step 1: Have the acrylic stand  and the transformer ready. When it comes to the transformer, make sure the decorative lights are facing the floor and not the ceiling.

Step 2: Place the transformer on top of the acrylic stand. The transformer should slide right on the stand. I gave it a little wiggle (holding the transformer) to make sure that it was in place.

Step 3: Once you have the transformer and the stand put together, take the protective guard and place it on the transformer. The transformer will fit through the rings of the protective guard. The guard will rest on the collector (the silver piece between the transformer and acrylic stand) and BAM! You have assemble the air purifier. Told you it was as easy as one, two, three, lol.

There is just one more thing that has to be done before you can try out the air purifier, getting the power supply ready. Just place the cord from the acrylic stand and the cord given for the outlet into the switch. Now you are ready for clean air!

I placed the air purifier in the living room since that is the one room of the house that we are in the most. When it comes to using the air purifier, it's best to keep the product at least 3 feet (1 meter) away from furniture and walls. There is a chance that the furniture and walls can get dirty of the purifier is not placed far enough.

Here is the IonFlow 50 Surface in the dark with the decorative lights on. The switch allows you to adjust the brightness of the light. One click of the switch allows normal lighting, two clicks of the switch allows double the lighting making it brighter and three clicks of the switch shuts the air purifier off. I find the lighting a great feature. This helps so that you can see the product at night so you don't accidently  bump into and end up hurting yourself or even breaking the product. Below is some information on how IonFlow 50 products work.
