Interactive musical/storybook app for the iPad for no cost! @mibblio

The NEW musical storybook app for iPad, Mibblio, has just launched their first interactive app! Now kids can read, sing, learn and play music all at the same time!

Mibblio is the first interactive musical/storybook app of its kind. With an intuitive design, Mibblio is easy to use and creates a world where children can read, sing, learn and play music all at the same time.

Inside Mibblio is a world of beautiful mibblets - illustrated story-songs that invite children to read, sing and jam while understanding the layers of developing music.  Targeted to children ages 3-8, kids can listen to and build upon a song while simultaneously having fun and improving reading skills.

A mix of classic songs such as On Top of Spaghetti” and “The Wheels on the Bus” alongside new, instant classics like Monkey Jamboree,”  are written, illustrated, sung and performed by accomplished artists such as Grammy-nominated mandolinist, Andy Statman and Grammy-winning drummer Marty Beller.

Now parents can watch and listen as children understand the layers of developing music and learn the basics of creating a song, while simultaneously improving reading skills.

We recently downloaded the Mibblio app (available for FREE in the Apple App Store with one mibblet) and my daughter chose the Millie and her Curling, Whirling Hair mibblet!

As the story goes...

Millie has heaps of hair, lots of locks - a massive mane! And it only gets longer and longer every day. Her hair falls into her food. It's hard to wash. It's a pain! Until one day, when she goes to school and everything changes.
The stories on the Mibblio app revolve around Mibblets (first one is free, additional ones cost $1.99), which are illustrated stories that are designed to encourage kids to sing, play music and read along. Kids  should be able to recognize some of the songs such as "On Top of Spaghetti," “Old Macdonald,” and "The Wheels on the Bus," while there are other songs/stories that are new to kids like "
Millie and her Curling, Whirling Hair".  My daughter enjoyed listening to the story/music and then creating her own.  She even loved switching from piano to guitar to any other instrument you could imagine.  She even took a few turns at playing the ukelele and the cowbell.  Not only is this game fun for kids, but they don't realize that they are learning, while reading and playing music.  Plus it won't break the bank, the app is free with one Mibblet and if your kids love it, then additional Mibblets are $1.99!
