THIS IS 40

COMING TO BLU-RAY™ COMBO PACK WITH UNRATED VERSION, DVD, DIGITAL COPY & ULTRAVIOLET™, ON MARCH 22, 2013

A midlife milestone sends a long-married couple into an uproarious tailspin in This is 40. Audiences fell in love with contentiously loving couple Pete and Debbie in Judd Apatow’s comedy sensation Knocked Up. Five years later Apatow reunites with his hilarious creations as Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann reprise their roles as husband and wife balancing the challenges and rewards of marriage and parenthood with the milestone of turning 40.

With activities like yoga, spinning and pilates, you won’t need Bodies by Jason! Stay young and fit like Debbie with these fun ways to workout at 40 and beyond.

Cardio

Forty-five minutes of cardio five days a week is just enough to help keep you looking fit and fabulous in your forties. In your 20s and 30s you can do less days per week of cardio for similar effects, but in your forties you can do less intense exercises more days per week to help maintain a youthful physique. Find a fun exercise that gets your heart pumping, like running, Zumba, etc.!

Pilates

Doing Pilates on a regular basis has a number of great health benefits. Among them are better body awareness and control and the ability to help strengthen your core. Pilates can also help make your body more lean, increase your flexibility and better your posture and alignment, helping cut down on pesky back and joint pain.

Weight Training

45 minutes to an hour of weight training three to four days a week is a great way to keep your body toned and in shape. Some parts of your body get harder to tone once your in your 40s. Research specific training moves to target your arms, legs, abs and butt.

Yoga

Not only is yoga great for your body, but many people also find that it helps relieve stress and anxiety. Like Pilates, yoga can also help improve your posture and flexibility, in addition to strengthening your core. Research studies have also found that yoga has a positive effect on learning and memory – so it doesn’t just benefit your body, but it helps your mind as well!

Spinning

Spinning is an intense workout, so you might want to build up to it, but it’s an amazing way to burn calories and get in shape! Spinning helps you burn fat, become leaner, can improve your cardiovascular health, and can help improve your posture. Give spinning a try if you want to improve your overall health as it targets many different parts of your body.
