Colorful Easter Eggs Online and Off with Heinz Vinegar and PAAS

Egg-citing news! With Easter just weeks away, what better way to bond with your child than decorating Easter eggs.  This year PAAS has seven new decorating kits, including Volcano Eggsplosion, which uses melted crayon shavings to provide instant color, and Touch of Velvet, a kit that uses double stick adhesives and flocking powder to create fun, fuzzy shapes on your Easter creations!

Egg coloring is not only a bonding time, but a way to let the creative juices flow.  This year we decided to try decorating brown eggs as well as white eggs.  I now know why not to use brown eggs.  The kids did not seem to care, but it did not produce bright and vibrant colors, so we made extra white ones!

For the brightest, most vivid colors, add one tablet and three tablespoons of Heinz Distilled White Vinegar to a PAAS Color Cup or a one-cup container. Once the tablet has dissolved, add ½ cup water and stir gently. Also, to help keep hard-cooked eggs from cracking, add two tablespoons of Heinz Distilled White Vinegar per quart of water before placing the eggs in the pot. The shells will also peel off faster and easier when they’re done.

I remember as a kid having the plastic covers we would boil on to the eggs with the classic PAAS ducks, chicks and bunnies.  Now kids have fun options of markers, velvet, melted crayons and so much more.  We had a blast as a family trying out the new techniques!  Oh and no more filling coffee cups with the pellets!  You can buy PAAS cups that make for easy use and clean up!

Heinz Vinegar and PAAS Easter Egg Dyeing Kits have partnered to bring you the PAAS/Heinz Eastert Egg Decorator - H. J.
