The Jungle Book: Rumble in the JungleThe Jungle Book: Rumble in the Jungle

On February 12, 2013, join Mowgli and friends for a night of adventure, as the lush and energetic jungle comes alive with the DVD release of The Jungle Book: Rumble in the Jungle. The action packed feature length movie will be available exclusively at Walmart stores in the U.S. and features a downloadable activity kit, slide show and exclusive, collectible Mowgli and Baloo figurines for continuing The Jungle Book fun after the DVD player is off.

This movie brings back all the favorite characters we love from the original Jungle Book movie from Bagheera and Kaa to Mowgli and, of course, Baloo! The jungle friends band together in their adventures to once again take on the evil Shere Khan.   A few differences you will see in this adaptation is Baloo is features as brown old bear and show also focuses on Mowgli's Wolf Clan.  I have not seen the original in quiet a while, so I do think there were a few new characters added like Tabaqui a sneaky fox who plots with Shere Khan.

This DVD was 62 minutes long and my  kids did enjoy it very much this weekend when we watched it.  I am sure they will be hooked on the series once it airs on  Disney XD.   I did think it was more of a few short stories complies into a movie, rather that a straight full length movie.    Mowgli and Mani are busy banging the drums for some jungle rhythm when chaos ensues thru out the film.  Mowgli doesn't every forget the power of friendship and family in this film and is always remembering where he came from - the wolf pack!

It is definitely a cute film and my son loved the figurines!  A cute new twist on the classic film!

Watch the Jungle Book premiering soon on Disney XD
