Road trips are notorious for junk food. There is no need for everyone to crash from a sugar rush and following asleep on the road when there is so much to see! Packing healthy snacks will keep every happy and alert!

Below are some suggestions for snacks for this week's holiday travel!
  • Vegetables that can be cut into bite size pieces.
  • Fruit like grapes, Cuties, bananas, and apple slices are great for natural sweetness!
  • Cheese cubes or sticks are great for protein.
  • My kids love the yogurt in tubes.
  • Reduced fat cookies/crackers
  • Fruit juice boxes; mini cans of low-sodium V8 juice
  • Pretzels
  •  Sugar free gum
  • Small sandwiches
  • Water
Not only will you be saving money while packing your own snacks, but you will feel better about eating them too!  Don't splurge on the junk food and save the room for all the Christmas Cookies!
