The Littlest Pet Shop Party

The Hub TV Network, a destination for kids and their families, brings together two series featuring beloved characters on Saturdays with the premiere of the all-new animated series “Littlest Pet Shop” (11 a.m. ET) and the highly anticipated third-season premiere of pop culture phenomenon “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic” (10 a.m. ET). The Hub Original Series, produced by Hasbro Studios, will each launch with two half-hour, all-new back-to-back episodes.

The half-hour animated comedy series follows young Blythe and her father as they move into a Big City apartment above the Littlest Pet Shop – an amazing day-camp for pets of all kinds including an adorable panda, dancing gecko and dog diva. But the real adventure begins when Blythe discovers she can miraculously understand and talk with the animals! The pets may be small, but their big personalities often lead to uproarious pop music-inspired song and dance sequences featuring all-new original music.
The series’ premieres were also be supported through traditional and non-traditional off-channel media designed to drive tune-in. Viewers can host at-home premiere parties with the “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic” and “Littlest Pet Shop” downloadable Playdate Premiere party packs that will be available at hubworld.com. The packs will include party invites, coloring sheets and recommended activities for viewers to host their own ultimate premiere parties. Additionally, for the first time, The Hub will release new digital content for “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic” including brand new games, printables and videos every single week of the season on hubworld.com.

I recently held a Littlest Pet Shop Playdate Premiere!  I received an advanced copy of the first two episodes, some lip gloss, hair brushes, party ideas and paper masks.  To make the party even more fun, I headed out to  hubworld.com and accessed the party packs that were available.  I printed off party harts for the kids to color and decorate as well as some coloring sheets.  They had a blast at the coloring stations creating and decorating.   I picked up some LPP stickers, some small LPP toys to add to the goodie bags (hair brushes, lip gloss and paper masks were also added).   Simple white lunch bags were created into goodie bags with the addition of color printouts and stickers!

The kids loved the episodes and as a parent, I enjoyed them as well.  They did teach some valuable life lessons, like never giving up, always being true to yourself and how to deal with bullies (the sisters).  It is a totally cute series and I am glad this loved toy has made it into the cartoon world.  The animation is similar to The My Little Pony series already on the HUB, so they pair perfectly in the Saturday morning line up.  I have been requested to DVR the series each week by the children as well!

Oh and guess what else! On January 15, 2013, Shout! Factory Kids, in collaboration with Hasbro Studios, will release Littlest Pet Shop: Little Pets, Big Adventures , the first DVD collection based on Hasbro’s popular LITTLEST PET SHOP brand and new animated series . Delivering five fun-filled episodes and captivating entertainment the whole family can enjoy, the DVD will also feature bonus content including coloring sheets and the all-new featurette “A Look Behind The Pet Shop Doors.” Littlest Pet Shop: Little Pets, Big Adventures DVD also includes an offer for a virtual Collectable Pet on the Littlest Pet Shop App, and has a suggested retail price of $14.97.
