Send a sweet treat with 1-800-Bakery

I was recently chosen to be a 1-800-Bakery Blog Ambassadors! Chef Steve started in 2004 to bring those fresh bakery items from his small New England bakery to those who were miles away from home.  If you visit department store bakeries for unique cookies and cakes or if you have ever bought from a mail-order food catalog, then you already have some idea of how works. But there is a difference: Their Freshness is 100% Guaranteed! When you place an order at, it goes from the baker who made it straight to the doorstep where you want it.

For November, I was sent one  of their delicious coffee cakes. The coffee cakes are available in three flavors - chocolate chip, cinnamon walnut and blueberry.  These 2-pound coffee cakes are moist, sweet and have just the right mixture of the highest quality ingredients. You can find out more about these fantastic breakfast treats here.  They'd make a fantastic addition to a Christmas morning breakfast or be the perfect option for grabbing a quick treat as you head out the door to some holiday shopping.

The 2-pound Chocolate Chip coffee cake is so moist and sweet.  The cake is full of generous handfuls of semi-sweet chocolate chips so every slice is full of them. The sweetness of the chocolate chips is wonderfully balanced by the rich, moist cake. It's hard to stop at a second or third slice.   An added treat is to warm the cake up and serve it with a hot cup of tea or coffee! The coffee cake was incredibly moist which I wasn’t expecting from a mail order cake.  The cake serves 8-10 people and sells for $19.95
