I love white wine and trying wines as well, so this past month  The California Wine Club sent me two bottles from the Robledo Family Winery. I received a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and a bottle of Tempranillo.  The Sauvignon Blanc is a great white wine and I really enjoyed it! A little more about the
Sauvignon Blanc is below:

Robledo Family Winery 2008 Lake County "Seven Brothers" Sauvignon Blanc

Aromas of honeysuckle and mango waft from your glass of this yummy Sauvignon Blanc. On the palate, green tea, citrus and lemongrass make this white a rich and complex.

Bronze Medal, 2011 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
Enjoy this Sauvignon Blanc with ahi tuna, oysters, ceviche and light salads.  Drink now or hold for up to 6 years.

I. was not familiar with the Tempranillo, so I did a little research on food pairings to get the best experience.  My research came back that it would be best with with grilled vegetables and meats. Serve Tempranillo with grilled peppers, onions, tomatoes, chicken, or beef.   So I had hubby fire up the grill and cook some chicken and veggies on the grill to pair with the wine.  I was quiet pleased with the overall flavor and the rich finish! More on the  Tempranillo:

Robledo Family Winery 2009 Napa Valley "Seven Brothers" Tempranillo

This wine has a bright ruby color with heavy aromas of cranberry, blackberry, cinnamon, spice and toasted oak. The flavors of dried black fruit, toasted cedar and tobacco mingle with great acidity and strong tannins to produce a long, rich finish.

Tempranillo is fantastic with grilled meats and vegetables or even pizza.  Drink now or hold 6-8 years.
