Sync you Amex card with Twitter for great savings!

Recently American Express has been offering up amazing deals on Foursquare and Facebook. Well, now they're migrating to Twitter and partnering up with major brands including H&M, Zappos, and Virgin America.

Here's how it works using The Cheesecake Factory as an example:

Step 1:
Sync your Amex account to your Twitter account (Only have to do this once).
Step 2: Send out a tweet using the #AmexCheesecake hashtag. No coupons, no printouts, no promo codes. No fumbling with your phone when you get the bill.
Step 3: Go to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner. Let's say you order Chicken Lettuce Wrap Tacos, Louisiana Chicken Pasta, a Chocolate Covered Coconut Shake, and at least three different flavors of cheesecake.
Step 4: Spend $50 or more and get a statement credit of $10!

This is just an example. It works for flowers, clothes, shoes, and sushi.... Just make sure you tweet the special offer #hashtags to load exclusive Cardmember offers directly to your Card to get your automatic statement credit.

Amex wants to be the de facto credit card for the social media generation, and offering straight up cash rather than the usual rewards points is probably going to help them achieve that goal. Twitter makes sense. People already love to tweet about what they're doing, or what they wish they were doing. For Amex to spot them some extra change while they do it is just gravy.
