Review of New Dannon Oikos Greek Yogurt – #CleverOikos #CleverYogurt #Spon

I wrote this post while participating in a blog tour conducted by Clever Girls on behalf of Dannon. I have been compensated for my time commitment to the program but my opinions are my own. For more information and recipe ideas, visit www.oikosyogurt.com or www.Facebook.com/oikos. I was selected for this sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do.

I love yogurt, well everyone in my family does.  Yogurt is a staple in our house.   I was super excited when I was asked to participate in a review of Dannon® Oikos®.  Have you ever tried Greek yogurt?  I tried Dannon® Oikos® for the first time this week, for my afternoon snack at work and I love it! I was shocked at how many varieties my store carried.  Of course I had to pick up Blueberry and Strawberry, two of my favorite flavors!   They were both amazing, but strawberry is far my favorite!!!  Oh and Dannon® Oikos® 0% Fat Berry Flavors beat Chobani 2-1 in a taste test!   There are also fun flavors like caramel, chocolate and superfruits!

Not familiar with Greek yogurt?  One of the benefits of Greek yogurt is the added nutritional value over “regular” yogurt. Dannon® Oikos® Plain and Fruit on the Bottom contains 0% fat, while the Dannon® Oikos® traditional blended varieties contains about 3% fat. Both are an excellent source of protein, twice that of most regular lowfat yogurts.

Dannon® Oikos® is created through an authentic Greek straining process which gives it a rich and creamy-thick texture. It definitely is rich and creamy!!!  Dannon® Oikos® 0% varieties contain active yogurt cultures and range from 80 calories (Plain) to 130 calories (Fruit on the Bottom) per 5.3 oz. cup.  I am all about active cultures, anytime we travel, I try and make sure everyone east some yogurt ahead of time.  Now we will all be eating Dannon® Oikos®!!!

Did you know you could use Dannon® Oikos® in your recipes?   Well I had no clue till I found this on their site!  Yum!!! A nice way to sneak in something yummy and healthy into normal foods! I will be trying the Blender Whole Grain Yogurt Pancake recipe with my kids this week!

I have partnered with Dannon to help promote the Dannon Oikos Greek Yogurt Series.  I have been compensated for my time commitment to the program, which includes writing about the promotion and product.  However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments.
