Masterlock: The Mastermind back-to-school video series and sweepstakes

Master Lock® has hired a new specialist on student life to help students safely and securely navigate this school year in style. The Master Mind, a suave and funny college grad, is staring in a humorous online video series on in which he, along with his clever Little Sister, are setting out to answer students’ most frequent, awkward and perplexing questions on www.facebook.com/masterlock.

Parents and students are invited to submit their own questions for the Master Mind and participate in daily sweepstakes for a chance to win back-to-school must-haves, including popular Master Lock school and campus security products.

More information about the back-to-school video series and sweepstakes, as well as the newest and coolest Master Lock back-to-school accessories, can be found at http://mwne.ws/pELmnK.

Here is some advice  to students and parents for surviving the school year with ease!
  1. When you or your child head off to college, the Credit Card Vultures will be out.  Prepare your child for these Vultures.  It might be fun to snag a free shirt, but all those applications for credit cards effect your credit history!
  2. Budget.  Make sure your kids know about budgeting and what they have in their bank account or meal plan.   It would be awful if they blew through it all in the first month!
  3. Are the kids in tip top shape?  Make sure all their medications (for allergies, asthma, and birth control) are up-to-date and packed.  Does your child wear contacts?  Order a couple extra boxes ahead of time and pack them up too!
  4. Dorms are small, forget the little knick knacks and mementos and just focus on the items you really need to start off with!   Thanksgiving break is not too far off from the start of the year, if you have room, bring a few things back!
  5.   Make sure your teen knows the basics...  How to do laundry, make a basic meal, etc.
