Lost Blankie

Tonight the kids had t-ball and my 4 year old son left his blanket that he has had since an infant in his car seat.  Well when dad was putting him back in the car after t-ball he removed the blanket and placed it on top of my car (I met them there after work).  Well dad never told me it was on my car and he forgot it, until all heck broke loose at home over no "night night".  I hopped back in my car and drove the 20 minutes back into town and searched high and low for "night night".  No where to be found.  Luckily we had one more back-up at home, but tonight I went ahead and forked over $20 for another one.

So parents out there, make sure you get multiple of your child's security item!  We had multiples of our daughter's stuffed dog, but only one "night night".  At least another one will be here in the next week!

  1. I was a 'blankie kid' until I was wayyyy older than four so my heart dropped there for a minute, lol. Glad you had a back up. I only had 1 for my whole childhood and I would have flipped if it ever went missing.

I have a 5 year old nephew who calls his blanket his 'night night' too. Luckily he grew attached to the regular gerber receiving blankets that come in backs of four or five, so they bought an extra pack so I think he has something like 10 of them now lol. Better safe than sorry though.
