There is no ice pack needed - Go-Gurt (and Simply… Go-Gurt too!) is specially made to freeze and thaw, keeping the yogurt, and the rest of lunch, cool until lunch time.
With Go-Gurt yogurt in your child’s lunch box, you can feel confident that there will be no snack trading at lunch time since Go-Gurt has a taste and texture that kids love! Moms can feel good about packing Go-Gurt each morning since each portable tube contains a good source of calcium and vitamin D, providing a wholesome addition to a well-balanced lunch. Available in a variety of cool, fun flavors like Strawberry Splash and Chill-Out Cherry, Go-Gurt will quickly become a refreshing classroom favorite.
My kids LOVE Go-gurt! They are so easy to handle and no mess. We pop them in the freezer all the time and then take them out when we head to the zoo, picnic, play dates, where ever! Stays nice and cool and helps insulate any other food!
The great people at Yoplait and MyBlogSpark gave me a prize pack and will be giving on lucky reader one as well! “Keeping Cool in School” prize pack that includes an insulated lunch tote, mini water bottle, sandwich keeper, cool breeze pen fan, and some fun school supplies for the new school year.
In addition, check out Yoplait on Facebook and Twitter! Be sure to “Like” Yoplait on Facebook and “Follow” Yoplait on Twitter to keep up with the latest news from Yoplait Yogurt.

My tips is that I make my son's lunch the night before and put it in the fridge. All that I have to do in the morning is take it out of the fridge and head out the door.
ReplyDeleteMy son loves the Go-Gurts, too!

My tip is to cut food in special shapes and to include a dipping sauce for fruit or veggies or even pretzel sticks. And a special note or joke of the day is fun to include. :-)

My tip is to have your child make their own lunch as much as possible. They learn to become more responsible by taking charge of the chore themselves. Younger children will still need supervision, but they can certainly help out!

I pack DDs lunch the night before so that I only have to put an ice pack in it in the morning.

Am I terrible person for suggesting school lunch instead of packing a lunch? That saves me the most time. :)

ReplyDeleteMy tip for packing lunch....DH loves the Oscar Meyer Creations Sandwiches...if you watch for coupons and sales, you can usually get these for about $.75 to $1....very cheap lunch!! And requires no work! Just add a dessert and drink...your done!
ReplyDeleteI also pack mine and my son's lunches the night before. Then, the next morning, just pop in an ice pack and go. I always include a fruit of some sort (usually grapes, apples or a banana). If I make a sandwich, I'll use a Cut 'n Seal sandwich cutter, which my son loves!

Well my oldest is just heading off to full-day kindergarten this year, so I've been busy collecting lunch box tips. The frozen go-gurt is one I'll certainly try! I also plan on trying to freeze homemade mini-muffins to pop in his lunch box.
ReplyDeleteI think it's important to get the kids involved.
