My dog has cancer

I posted earlier in the week about my dog. We just got the results back, she has cancer. Looks like it is spreading through her body. Chemo is not an option. Left alone she has a max of 2 months. Vet has some experimental medicine that might give her up to 6 months to live. We are going to try it and see. She is so happy and glad to be home...  you wouldn't even know that she was dying

  1. I am so sorry--I can ask my mom what they did for one of their dogs--they had 10 at one point--She had cancer as well--but hung around for 1+ years

  3. Amanda, I can't tell you how much I feel your pain.....Last year, the week of Christmas, we lost two of our dogs, one to Cancer and one to a rare blood disease. I thought I would never make it. It was the hardest thing I've ever been thru, but I did survive. My prayers and heart are with you and your special furperson.

  5. I am so sorry about your dog. My heart goes out to you. I lost my dog two years ago. It was the greatest loss of my life & a loss I will always grieve. Try to enjoy every moment you can with the time you have left with your girl. I pray that her passing is peaceful & without suffering. God bless you both.

P.S. Something you might find comforting later on is her paw print. You can do this as simply as gently dipping her paw into food colored water then placing it on paper or card stock.

    Sincerely,

    Heather
