Review of Starbucks Caffe Verona®

I was recently chosen by BzzAgent (BzzAgent is the leading word-of-mouth marketing (WOM) company, where you can sign up to receive products and free coupons to test out and talk about with other people.)  to review Starbucks Pike Place coffee and share with others my thoughts on it and other Starbucks coffees.  I love to have at least one cup of joe in the morning, but I can not afford to be dropping $4-5 a cup at name brand coffee shops.  So I  just usually buy a can of coffee at home and brew a pot each morning.    Well I was very excited when I was chosen to review Starbucks coffee at home.    Same great flavors you can get in store, but brew at home!

I was sent two different coffees to review and bzz about. I was sent Pike Place® Roast and Caffe Verona®

I am going to be reviewing these in two separate blog posts.   This morning I opened Caffe Verona® and my husband and I had it with homemade oatmeal chocolate chip pancakes.  It had a great aroma brewing and as I review the package typing this post, the aroma makes me want to brew another pot!  It is  Starbucks' most popular coffee, Caffè Verona® is a versatile, complex blend combining great Latin American and Asia Pacific coffees with a touch of Italian Roast. Great in a coffee press, drip brewer or even as espresso.

Caffè Verona® is a bold ground coffee that has tasting notes or dark cocoa and roasty sweetness.  Now my husband was expecting a rich chocolaty flavor and was a little disappointed.   While I, on the other hand enjoyed the coffee very much.  It is a dark coffee and I love dark coffee!  I am so excited to try the different coffee blends and share my thoughts with you.  If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment or shot me an email

Looking for an easy way to try a new Starbucks blend?   Try Starbucks "intro size" coffee packages, in 5 oz bags!   Varieties include:  Columbia, House Blend and Caffe Verona!   Another great way to try a different blend is to try a bold coffee at a Starbucks location.   The bold blends will be just $1.50 each!   I blogged about it here with the blends and the dates!

Also!!!!
Bring your empty specially marked bag of Pike Place® Roast to any participating U.S. Starbucks® store and they’ll exchange it for a free tall brewed Pike Place® Roast or other brewed coffee of your choice!
