Come On In, If You Dare - #HalloWeekends Is Now Open! #Ohio #BloggingatCP @CedarPoint

Cedar Point's annual festival of fright, HalloWeekends, driven by SafeAuto, is going on  every Friday night, Saturday & Sunday through November 1. Enjoy the NEW Hexed haunted house, an expanded Howl-O-Palooza family fun area, a new parade route, haunted houses, outdoor fright zones and more! Plus, experience the new "Midnight Syndicate LIVE - Legacy of Shadows" in the Good Time Theatre. Or be mesmerized by the aerial stunts of the popular "Skeleton Crew" in Celebration Plaza!

It's not all about scares at HalloWeekends! Even the littlest of ones can still have fun and ride rides until the park closes! My son loved that before we left, he was able to hop on some kiddy rides and ride them alone, there was not many people in that section of the park!    From a parade of monstrous proportions to all-new activities at our expanded Howl-O-Palooza, there's a TON of fall family fun at Cedar Point!

From shows and performances to special areas and attractions just for them, kids will find both tricks and treats during HalloWeekends. New this year will be an expanded Howl-O-Palooza kids’ area, now located along the Wicked Twister Midway and in the Planet Spooky and Kiddy Kingdom children’s areas. Howl-O-Palooza will feature cornstalk and hay bale mazes, pedal tractors, trick-or-treat stations and much more!

Make sure to take time to watch the Monster Midway Invasion Celebration! It is a fun parade of friendly monsters, spooky-fun floats and not-so-scary surprises! We were treated to a band, tiny dancers, flag twirlers, monsters and more!  Or course Snoopy had to make an appearance too!

Spooky Shenanigans - A Halloween Hullabaloo.  This is a fun, family-oriented musical revue of all your ghoul-time favorites.  The kids loved this, the really loved when Frankie was able to talk!  Just check out the video above!
Well if you are ready to get your fright on, you will not be disappointed!  This year they offer a ton of horrifying mazes and haunted houses! All haunted houses open Fridays at 8 p.m, Saturdays at 6 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.
Hexed Witches of all shapes, sizes and types are ready to greet you in the new HEXED haunted house! Head back to high school with Zombie High School, watch out in the haunted halls and creepy classrooms, you will never know where a zombie is hiding. We all did G.A. Boeckling's Eerie Estate as a family!   The line was quiet long, we waited for a little over an hour, but it was the first haunted house as a family.  My daughter led the group as she is fearless, my son on the other hand was hidden under my arm through the entire journey.   This stately limestone mansion harbors deep, dark secrets, guarded by ancient inhabitants seeking revenge and looking for more permanent residents!

Camp Snoopy turns into CarnEVIL late at night.  The kids loved this area, I totally thought they would be freaked out by the clowns.  I was fine until a clown came out with a chainsaw, then I was running out of the area. There are crazy clowns and lurking sideshow freaks waiting to share their special brand of entertainment with you.
Make sure to walk  the midway, you will never know what  creepy characters you will encounter!  Another must before you leave is a visit to the troll.  If he is asleep, stay around...he will wake up soon and you won't want to miss it! Just check out our time with him:

Make sure you hit the coasters and other rides that are open too!   We noticed the rides at the front of the park which were further away from the HalloWeekends attractions had little to no wait!  A couple trips on Mantis (had to before it went away) and  GateKeeper was the way to end the night.
