Frugal Teacher Appreciation Gift

Teacher Appreciation day is May 9th this year...but some sites are reporting that Teacher Appreciation Week (May 1st-5th or May 8th-12th depending on location).

Gifts don't have to be expensive to show you care. This past year we let the kids make their own gifts for their teachers.
We picked up some geraniums at Home Depot and let the kid pick out their own pots and plant their flowers for their teachers. Home Depot also has small 8 packs of certain flowers for $2.50 each, you could break those off and plant them too!

Geraniums - $1.39 each at Home Depot
Ceramic pot - $1 each at Dollar Tree
Paper gift bag - 2 for $1 at Dollar Tree
Hand Sanitizer - 3 for $1 at Dollar Tree
Homemade card by kids - $0
Total price per gift = $3.22

Add a fun little Thank You note, like "Thanks for Helping Me Grow this Year".
