A Dog’s Purpose on Blu-ray™, DVD and Digital HD includes deleted scenes, outtakes, a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film, and more!

Based on the beloved bestselling novel by W. Bruce Cameron, A Dog’s Purpose, from director Lasse Hallström (The Cider House Rules, Dear John, The 100-Foot Journey), shares the soulful and surprising story of one devoted dog (voiced by Josh Gad – Frozen, Angry Birds) who finds the meaning of his own existence through the lives of the humans he teaches to laugh and love. A narrative with “genuine heart, humor and a real message of love” (Michael Heaton, The Plain Dealer), the family film told from the dog’s perspective also stars Britt Robertson (Tomorrowland, The Longest Ride), KJ Apa (“Riverdale”), John Ortiz (Silver Linings Playbook, American Gangster), Juliet Rylance (Sinister, “The Knick”), Luke Kirby (“The Astronaut Wives Club”), Peggy Lipton (When in Rome, Twin Peaks), Pooch Hall (“The Game,” “Ray Donovan”) and Dennis Quaid (Far From Heaven, The Rookie).

Roxy's Thoughts...
Roxy and her treats

Last night my humans decided to watch a great movie and my dog sister Maggie and I were included in the viewing party. My humans had a lot of water running down their faces at times...I am not sure why. I guess they didn't realize that us dogs get to keep coming back over and over again in a new dog body to spread love and companionship.

As dogs we all have a purpose in each of our lives we live. See that cute human girl above. She is my purpose! She was super sad, her other dog before me went on to his new doggy body and new purpose... leaving her.

One day I was out running the streets with my brother looking for food. We were super hungry and skinny. We got nabbed by the doggy police and ended up in jail.  My girl's mom came into the jail one day and saw me and two days later I was finally home with my girl (my mom even kept checking on my brother too.  He got his new family one week after me). Having lived a doggy life before, I knew what to do with me new girl. I am there to keep her warm in her bed, snuggle with her with she is tired, kiss away her tears when she is sad and I can always make her smile.

The movie that we watched was all about a dog named Bailey and how his purpose was to make sure his human Ethan wasn't alone and was finally happy. It took a number of doggy lives to get back to Ethan but it was well worth the wait. As I said, my human mom, dad, my girl and my boy all leaked from time to time. Then they would laugh too. I think they really enjoyed the movie night with Maggie and I.

Now that Maggie and I watched this movie, we want our humans to get a horse dog.We already got a cat and we have been training him to be a dog too.  He can even fetch.   But I really think a horse dog would be a perfect addition to our family.

This is a great movie for my fellow four legged friends and their owners.   Even if you don't have a dog (seriously why not?) it is a great film.   Maybe you will want to go to the dog jail and save one of my friends so this can follow their purpose!

"The ones we rescue, rescue us"

We also received some  Emma Lou's Kitchen  chicken jerky in our box.  Let me tell you they were wooferful!    My sister and I ate them up!    You can stay connected with them here:

My human mom even made me and my sister dog treats. We were very spoiled for this movie night and think we should have them more often! Check out her recipe here: Homemade Pumpkin Dog Biscuits #Recipe
