Teacher Appreciation Day -- say thank you with Yoobi #TeacherAppreciationDay #YoobiGives #ad #DIY

National Teacher Appreciation Day is around the corner, and nothing says "Thank You" quite like a gift from the heart. Yoobi's got just the gift with their fun products and they are perfect to use to create a  DIY Teacher Appreciation Cards!

Yoobi is based on a bright yet simple idea, colorful and vibrant supplies for school, home or office that give back! For every Yoobi item purchased, a Yoobi item will be donated to a classroom in need, right here in the U.S.! It's that simple.

On average, teachers can spend up to $485 out of pocket each year. That adds up to over $1.6 billion in teacher spending annually, just to supply core items for their students to have the tools they need to learn and be creative. Help your child say an extra special thank you for all the hours they put in long after the closing bell rings with handmade cards using Yoobi products!

For my DIY Teacher Appreciation Cards, I used the Yoobi Color Layering Markers, Yoobi Gel Pens, blank cards and lip balm.

Color Layering Markers:  Create your own abracadabra moment when you use the Step 1 marker to lay down your favorite hue and the Step 2 marker to - shazam - magically change the color to a new hue.
  • Perfect for school, home or office
  • Multicolor layer markers, 8 pack
  • Markers layer color on top of color without bleeding or blending
  • 6 color markers and 2 color change markers
  • Non-toxic
  • Kid tested ages 3 and up
Color and GlitterGel Pens:  These are some smooth operators. And bold ones, too. This cool collection of half neon, half glitter gel pens comes in 12 awesomely bright colors with a no-slip grip, and sleek cap. They're pretty irresistible.
  • Perfect for school, home or office
  • Multicolor glitter and neon gel pens, 12 pack
  • 1.0 mm medium tipped

Lip Balm Cards
  • 3 pack of Chap Ice Lip Balm  ($3 at Five Below)
  • Blank note cards and envelopes (a 25 pack cost me about $4.99)
  • Yoobi Color Layering Markers
  • Yoobi Gel Pens
First of all you will need to open the lip balm and use the lid to draw a circle you plan on cutting out.  Then the fun comes with deciding on what you want your circles to become!   I opted for a flowers and hot air balloons.
Use the Yoobi layering makers to create more color options!  Use the step 1 marker to lay down  a color and then step 2 marker to magically change the color to a new hue.    Use the Yoobi Gel Pens and Glitter Gel Pens for smaller areas and to create accents.  After you are done  cut out the circle and twist in the lip balm.

Apple Card
  • Blank note cards and envelopes (a 25 pack cost me about $4.99)
  • Yoobi Color Layering Markers
  • Yoobi Gel Pens
Draw the shape of an apple on a card.   I drew it in pencil first and then outlined it with the Yoobi markers.  Write in different words to describe a teacher. If you want to personalize it, include the name  of your child's teacher!

So get creative and make sure the teachers in your life know what they mean to you and your kids!

Yoobi has also created cute Teacher Bundles that you can gift to your teacher to show your appreciation for all that they do.

Yoobi means “one for you, one for me.” For every Yoobi item you purchase, a Yoobi item will be donated to a classroom in need, right here in the U.S. It’s that simple!
