Mr. Thomas is instantly recognizable as the Seinfeld’s “Original SoupMan” and he attracts old and new generations of fans alike, in his trademark chef’s outfit and classic interactions with guests. He will be serving up our famous soups at the landmark NYC store at West 55 Street & 8th Ave. on a regular basis as well as making personal appearances around the country, creating digital advertising, social media and charitable campaigns and more.
“I am very excited to be part of The Original SoupMan family,” says Larry Thomas.
“For the first time, instead of just saying “No Soup for You!” I may smile a little bit and add “Soup for You!”, so fans can come visit me at the store. But just don’t cut in line, or you’re out!”
SoupMan is a worldwide phenomenon and expects steady growth in its national supermarket shelf stable tetra pak carton business as well as increased interest in its franchised restaurants and Soupmobiles. In March, the latest refinement of the franchised restaurant, The Original SoupMan Delicatessen & Grill, opened in the premiere upscale dining district at Roosevelt Field Mall, offering its full delicatessen menu. In June, an Original Soupman Soupmobile opened on Wall Street.
