After six months of testing, the SunChips
research team found that by using a different adhesive that still met
performance requirements, they were able to significantly reduce the
noise of the bag. As before, the next-generation bag is still made from a
renewable, plant-based material called PLA, or polylactic acid, and is
100% compostable when placed in a hot, active compost bin.
I recently go to
experience the significant noise differences in this next-generation
bag! My first concern was of course, how would I hear my hubby snacking? Apparently there was complaints over the noise of the original compostable SunChips bag. Granted it was a noisy bag and one could hear someone snacking three rooms away, but I didn't mind! One for the fact I knew when dear old hubby was sneaking the chips. LOL. The other reason of course was it was 100% compostable!
I am not disappointed in the new quieter bag! It is still slightly noisy, but will not wake a sleeping baby! Plus it is still 100% compostable!!!
